atleast yours is assembled!! ahahah
Its all about the build :) I love the bike more now i have done more work to it and i know its all prestine (the journey there is a little different :p) I do not regret buying a 155 and the psto separatley.. i enjoyed building it

Still some more to go, added a adjustable outer rotor kit (off a lifan 150) and that was straight plug in and go..
Need to double check everything is perfect and loctite everything and then off i go to the farm or straight too the track :)

how much clearance is there between the flywheel and stator plate ?
when i fitted mine the flywheel locked up on the stator before i could finish tightening it ?
i had to get 3mm machined off the stator backing plate like Timeeh did, and what Firepower does

Not sure to be honnest.. Will check with photos tomorrow It does look quite a bit higher than stock..
I used the lifan 150 flywheel also as beause the pickup heights were different I am also yet to play with the timing that will be interesting

Might i say thank you to dhz (become a sponsor of the site or me then i can link) for the shipping on the pipe, was faster than i expected.. Thats a good feeling when you get a part earlier than expected

how much did you score the pipe?
Full price, $95 or so
Just was happy with the shipping and the service.. He was the only one i could find that could tell me if it was klx bend and what was what for pipes (as far as you can tell really)

yeah, i will post pics soon of it fitted.. makes the muffler angle up i kinda like it actually... better than no pipe :p
it three other pipes from another shop to work it out (Thanks dom from motor bike city allowing me to swap over the pipes that didnt fit)

the timing degree's are easy to mark on the flywheel, just use a protractor
this is mine on the Z155Ho, i put a mark with a hammer and small chisel at 10°, 20°, 30° and 40°
i will be running mine at 28°

Bloody genius Craig, the old protractor trick hey, good stuff. How do you hook up the timing light? Where does the power come from?

lol, yeah it's easy enough.
the first time i did it the hard way.
i measured the circumference, them divided it by 36 then marked out the first 40°

i have a little 12v SLA battery i use, then just put the lead from the timing light onto the coil lead

Spose i could whip the battery out of the misses car. Why 28 degrees? How did you put that little o there?

the 0, that's just TDC,
i run 28° total advance measured at about 4000rpm
i read a post from Terry here a while ago that suggested it is one of the best timing setting's for a hemi head.
it gives quite a bit of low end power, and still pulls hard at WOT.

the battery i use is one from an old broken rechargable torch, you can but them new for under $20 at Jaycar etc.
but i also have a heap of old SLA batterys

why take it out, just check you timing with the bike next to the car. connect up the leads.
otherwise you could power it off and old 12v AC/DC power supply plug pack,
cut the socket of the plug pack lead, strip the wires back, and put your leads from the timing light to the leads off the power supply
you can even use an old computer power supply etc etc

by hemi head do you mean hemispherical, as in hemi from valiant style? i thought that meant that the spark plug was in the top of combustion chamber, and none of the heads of my pitbike are like that? or do i have the wrong idea here?

nah it was FPM Terrys' terminology, meaning Hemispherical
it's basically a sphere cast into the bottom of the head, with the valves centrally opposing each other, and the spark ignites the fuel on it's way past.

there are heaps of combustion chamber designs, Kidney, Hemi, Wedge, Bathtub/Bowl etc etc

sorry for the thread hijack Zac.

No problems my67xr a bit of engine info is a great contribution to my thread in my book :) FPM = mini motor god
Have a look at his facebook page really interesting stuff
Now Back To The Ignition:

It rotates and has a bees **** of clearance.. still clears it though..
Here is a closer pic:

Okay got her pretty solidly built today :) need to finish her off with some finishing touches..

This is how the new pipe routes :) looks a little od But i am growing to like it..
So i had to cut the mud flap a little to get it too work and fit nicely

Some small bugs to iorn out, eg the back break touching the clutch cover housing
A oil leak coming from the oil filter cover..

Some Say the extra 2 bends in the pipe increase torque from 1000 rpm to 30000 rpm Also increases the harmonious frequencies of the NO#1 position.

Firstly, get the ute going will ya, hasn't moved since i last saw it!
Bikes looking the god bro, well done.
Drill some holes in the rear of the front guard for better cooling to oil cooler
Kickstarter needs to be further forward
Gear lever too low.
Swingarm looks long enough for a 14" wheel to me, wheres Stu?

I think my bikes going to cost too much for stu + postage.. atleast for the moment will see what he wants to do later on..
Im happy to keep her for a little while.. The cheaper pricetag was on it for a while because i already had enough funds + that to complete my wr but now i dont lol

The hj needs a decent amount of tlc, patch welds new paint etc etc.. Someday soon as my current runabout is going to run out of reg at the end of the year i would like to have the ute done for that time..

Im not too sure about drilling holes for better cooling.. maybe if i do quite a few smaller holes? dont want mud and more importantly rocks hitting the oil cooler

Yeah kicker needs to be forward.. Might i say its the best kicker i have used on a pitbike to date would certainly buy another.. kicker ratchets not in the best shape that can wait though..

Gear lever is nice and low cause i was tarding it before.. i will see and re-adjust but down lows the best for me because of the angle of my 6'' legs lol
