wow stu, soon your gonna have to many bikes to know what to do with, lucky, i think i have a solution!

Stu's Used Bike Dealership

lol ;)

Well this stopped the entire production line today! I think im taking to them with the angle grinder. Completely welded together with crud, and hte nuts are so soft they are just stripping with the correct sized spanner!

What a pain...cant do much til I take this engine out!!

Thats how far it came out

So a greatly convenient spot behind the footpeg...they wont move! Ill fix it thursday or friday!!

So I though fine ill take the foot pegs off that will only take a minute! Nope, wrong!

Well firing myself up a bit worked! 2 bolts decided after being drenched in ionx they would come out. 2 still didn't so I cut the nut of one bolt half way through. Then it came off.

1 to go so cutting was off the table as my cheap blade broke after going half way through the first.

I decided it needed heat so sat here and thought for a bit. Came up with a pretty crude solution. Get the old stuffed drill. Chuck and old stuffed drill bit in it and go from the Allen key head side to create some heat. Kept trying after a few mins shoved the Allen key in and the nut wound off without even needing a 12mm spanner on it. Finally its out!

good work, there always a solution.

Yep! Just had to think about it for a while beating on it wasnt going to work. I'm speaking to the company that makes apollos trying to get a good deal on one of those bikes...see how that goes. Might ask if they can just sell me a frame  pretty much to see what they will say!

Although now I need a new manifold or a spinner or something to get the foxico motor into the pitpro frame. The manifold is way to big for the little 19mm carby! I posted some photos on the pitpro de-jevu thread. This is going to get confusing..not sure what to post where now...foxico motor into the pitpro...?

Yeah the one i have is the same angle, just smaller and probably shorter.
You have the details anyway

Well this is starting to look more like a real bike again!! No issues so far except the manifold is a little wrong, its kind of pushing the air filter against the frame but not to badly....Not ideal...but doesn't need to be sorted straight away!

The mail man bought me the pro tapers too! Not bad for $35...2 day delivery! They're in really good condition too

Whats the difference between the bolt grades?0 8.8 bolts and 12.9?? Everything I seem to buy high tensile is 12.9.....

4.6 is just steel bolts and some screws, 8.8 is standard high tensile, 10.9 is the next stronger grade up, then 12.9 is the strongest
you'll need an angled air filter like i have on the Atomik Fuse

ah so 12.9 is super good grade? Cool well the engine has been bolted in mostly with 12.9's now with nylocks, I didnt put allen head bolts back in as they are near on impossible to get out with out removing hte footpegs first!

Motormate down on south road sell marine grade stainless steel bolts slightly more expensive than Repco sell the champion hardened bolts(same pack size) at the next lot of shops down so that was a good find! Got a washer from the scooter mob for the exhaust just gave it a bit of a clean!! Given up for today, I need a freaking new 428 chain had the old one soaking for a week and its still rather stiff. That and swap the front caliper for mine, and then the rear sprocket and its DONE and ready to ride. How much would I be looking at for a 428 chain at a normal motorbike shop? Getting sick of waiting for the post to arrive!

Not sure about the airfilter I have one with a bend in there may need a new manifold at some point, cant seem to get it in the right spot, that manifold kind of throws it off centre. That one from Tassy Stu is even worse! So will have to sort that out can you link me one that you mean? The one I have was the one on the 125 motor. Expecting 3 more in the mail, when ever they get here from china....will have to buy a new expensive one if they dont get here tomorrow!

yeah the manifold i gave you is designed for a crf70 frame, not a perimeter frame. i thought you where putting it on your pitpro frame....

Yeah it should go on one of those fine!! Let know if you need it back as I have the two original manifolds to put on the pitpro frames!!

as i said in my build its no good to me ;) keep it, throw it at the post man or use it as a vase for all i care lol. can you help me upload a vid of the bike running? you no what your doing with computers lol

Yeah you'll have to upload it to either youtube or somthing like photobucket! Helps to run it through something like Windows movie maker to compress it a bit otherwise it will take 4-5hrs! Movie Maker is a free DL from microsoft. Open the video up in movie maker. Wait until the file and sound has processed then just hit save movie(not project) and it will give you options windows 720p is the one I normally use wait for it to finish then upload the new file to photo bucket. Try to get it down to about 200mb if you can, even with good internet here it takes around an hour for 200mb upload!!
