How to set Valve clearances on horizontal engines.

If you adjusted them with it on the firing stroke instead of the compression stroke it may have bent the valve's.
Did they need much adjustment, like half a turn sort of thing ?

I finely got the bike all sorted turned out the kill switch was faulty.
It was really strange I connected the switch up to a battery with a test light in the Circuit and it worked the light would turn on and off with the switch but the switch wouldn't work connected to the bike.
I only found this problem because someone suggested l unplug the kill switch a try starting the. Bike and it fired straight away.

I found the notch in the casing at 9oclock and the bike runs a bit quieter now
