Hey roost whats the serial no. on that motor?

I suppose my question is for roost, how much do you know about the motors you mentioned (54x59)? The reason I ask is, why I was going to import the engines that I posted the info about was because they where the largest displacement cheaper/Chinese engines ( the KLX 110’s with the potential to go to 175cc is what I’d really like to have in a pit bike ) that I had came across and if guys where looking to upgrade I wanted to have the biggest option that appealed to everyone so as not get suck with 50 engines that have been up stagged by something with a bit more stroke and I suppose ultimately the potential to go just that bit bigger. So what info do you have on them and could some one give the serial # from the motovert. If the engines from motovert and the ones that I posted the info on are essentially the same then I can do a lot better than the $999 that motovert is quoting for these 140cc engines

the new lifan 140cc engines really go good in stock form, but they are killers when done up. I have finished my latest build with one . Here are the specs for the stock engine;
1P55FMJ
140.17cc
55mm bore
59mm stroke
82mm tall barrel
15mm gudgen
they run a gpx style cam as opposed to the 138's that run a crf style
all up shift drum
the same big vale head as the 120 monster engine
clutch on main shaft

my one now has ;
145.31cc
56mm bore
59mm stroke
ported
custom cam
1mm copper head gasket
inner rotor
lightened oilslinger
28mm carb
custom manifold
t4 exhaust
hydrolic clutch
a few other little secrets
and all the bling
this motor hauls ass, it is the quickest motor i have run to date, i'm yet to put it up against a mojo 141cc but that should be good, i would be surprised if the mojo 141 will even come close to this motor

Hey Roost, when I get my bike i will come for a ride with you. Let me know where we can ride, I'm in Brissy most wknds so i can duck down to the goldy or you can meet me at Fort Lytton or another track? Then we can have a race of your 145cc build vs a motovert 140cc.

PM me =)

Mitch

that would be great, i know these 141's go hard so it should be a good race, i will pm you my address and we can organize something.

the 138cc is not exactly a one peace stamp... its a series of dots in the cast which looks like 138cc... not one big stamp (well thats on mine)... just would like to share that, not that its relavent but meh

mack which piston did you buy is it the race pro x 57mm piston with a 14mm pin from akunar? how much did you pay for yours including postage?
thanks for the info in advance

That was roost saying he was using a 57mm piston. The pin size on the new motors is 15mm so forget everything you're currently looking at. If you are going to resleeve the cylinder you might as well go decent size like 160cc. We are trying to put a kit together for this as we speak. Finding a good piston is the trouble. There are some that can be made to fit but aren't race quality. There are some of good quality but aren't good fit. Best option is to have some made just right. Gotta spring for 200 though. Might yet.

EDIT- Roost must have used the old rod to use the pistons he wanted.

what pin is in the 138 enignes then is it a 15mm
also is resleeving tricky or do you simply just put it in?
