I've never cleaned the bike, that's the thing... I've only just decided to pull the rear end down as the bolt that was holding the base of the shock to the linkage felt very notchy and I didn't bother to worry about it when I had the swing arm when I was repainting it, I'm not trying to kick up a stink about it, all I want to do is get this thing finished! The bolt that was holding the linkage to the shocker was made of.... Copper... It's got abit of a bend in it too... Find me bearings! Lol

With the way it's running (it's got the #40 pilot in it now?), try putting the #38 back in, and screw the mixture screw back in 1 full turn from where it is currently at.

When you are tuning the mixture are you raising the idle speed a bit, then adjusting the mixture screw while listening to the engine run, you want it running at the highest/smoothest rpms.
When you think it's close, turn the mixture screw in 1/8 of a turn, then drop the idle speed back down to normal rpms.
Try blipping the throttle then, and see how it sounds/reacts.

Those linkage bearing might be new, maybe the Pins that they roll on are the original's still ?
I would have thought they would be a long single tube in each bearing, and run from one side of the bearing to the other ?
They should be hard chrome plated too ?
Like what they run in the big bikes, example-

got my mate coming over to have a squiz at the tuning setup, hopefully get her running nice!
WHEEEWWW!!
cant wait!!

so ive put the new linkage in... and that dont work, full stop lol
yeah i need a 42 and 43.5, it loves the 125 main
yeah i called up the cini boys and they reckon theyve got one or two, i'll call em up on tuesday and see what can be done.. but im surprised how this 4v loves the 125 main! mid to top it blips and gets a nice note and comes back down to mid then idle comes back from mid to low and sticks a bit, thats with needle right up? to richen it, and the mixture screw pretty much right out... carrys on low to mid alot
my mate reckons he can sort her out with a 42-43.5 on 1 and half turns out, and a slight play with the mixture screw whilst under load

I reckon the pilot is lean and you've had to raise the idle speed too much to compensate for it.
This would have it running off the needle and main instead of the pilot jet.

Yeah i'll sell them to you if i have them.
Will let you know tomorrow arvo sometime.

so ive put Yz/Wr/1999 and up, foot pegs on, the foot pegs came off snaptrax's old yz 250f and the pins came out of a yz426, it feels solid, i only remove 3-4mm off the foot pegs, and increased the mounting hole 2mm resulting in a 10mm neat fit!
love em, sand blasted them and painted them in alloy silver! look the part!
ohh and ive got some jets on their way too!
fanx snaptrax! lol
