russ,
that engines' gearbox problems, may have just been a guess from the previous owner, it could have been the clutch ?
as the guy i got it from hadn't used it in a bike, it was out of one of his friends' bikes.

i have picked up another engine option now too, an incomplete YX160 gen2 1P60FMJ II.
it's only had an hour or so's use since new, but it has a cracked case due to a gearbox failure, i think, but could have been a kickstart gear failure too ?
if you look closely at the gearbox side pic, you can see the crack above the kickstart idler gear.

not sure what i will use it for, repair, big bore it, or part it out, but i'll wait and see what it looks like internally.

now i just need some spare time to start playing with it all.....

i have found another R/H casing for the YX,
then all i need is a clutch cover, with arm, slinger and all the related pieces

XXX7-47, ^^ the RX3 drag car i'm guessing

i had another look at the YX last night, i took the kickstart idler gear off and found another crack

so it has a bearing failure as a minimum, will know more once it's apart.

i'm bidding on a carby for the 155 today, and fingers crossed, am hoping to win it !?

it's just a genuine Mikuni 26mm, it will need a bit of modding to suit my bike

Yeah track at mine. We have a freestyle set up also. Dont have tge internet at ours do have tobuse my phone. Hence tge bad spellibg. And lack of posts.

i had a bit of a look at the broken clutch again today in the 155.
i pulled the clutch off my Lifan 150 and compared the 2 side by side.
the only difference i can see is the basket on the 155 is 6mm wider

the 6 plate clutch setup fits perfect into the Lifan 5 plate basket.
(you can buy the TB 6 plate kit as an upgade for the 5 plate clutches)
i am going to fit it up properly and swap the 155 into the Fuse in the next couple of days.
i also spotted that the 155s' clutch lever return spring has somehow spun around the shaft and jumped out position
so i pulled the shaft up and have refitted it.
once the 155 is in the bike i can start it up and try it out

the other thing i did was, i've fitted the Lifan 150 stator coils to the 155 backing plate too, so the ignition should be all good to go now.

i was comparing the heads this morning
reckon i might use the YX head on the 155 to keep the CRF port, and i won't have to modify my pipe.

the exhaust port in the Z155/YX160 is so small compared to the Lifan ?
when i get the YX head off, my die grinder might get a bit of a work out.
i'll smooth out the short returns, open the ports up a little by cutting back the valve stem bosses,
and remove a couple of mm's from the walls of the exhaust outlet,
then blend it all back into the port making it a smooth transition.
and add some pics step by step....

keen to see the pics, id like to tackle some porting work myself but i have been hesitant due to not wanting to ruin my 160ho before it even gets a ride

i tried the Lifan 150 adjustable Outer Rotor kit on to the Z155 too.
the backing plate with the seal in it needs 3mm trimmed off the face where the stator plate bolts on
should be cheap to have that machined

i'm picking up some used parts to upgrade the Fuse today, if i can get my wife to go out shopping ?
pics to come later this arvo

Surely a man with your talents would have the tools and know how to do it yourself?

nah, the backing plate has a 2mm wide, 3mm deep lip around the outer edge, to locate the stator plate
and using a file would take a few hours to file back 3mm, if you could do it.

i'm back home now from picking up the parts.
