yep the shorter you make the gearing the more unusable 1st will be, to the point where you just don't bother with it and start in 2nd instead, I found steep 1st gear hill climbs were easier with longer gears, it's easier to keep the front end down
found a cnc alloy 1/4 turn throttle for 70 on ebay prob going to buy that. found also a new alloy rear sprocket will it make much of a difference if i go up to 43t in the rear and stay the same in the front ?? and is 33 bucks pretty good for a kmc heavy duty chain ??
I run 16/37 I like being able to use 1st and better cruising.
But if you never get to 4th then maybe 15/41 would be the way to go ??
I'm not really sure what you want now
dude $1 is a rip off for a KMC chain, they like to stretch like crazy and snap easy, go to a jap bike shop and get an RK or D.I.D. mine cost something like $40
