alright, im keen on getting to this race i have read the 1st 11 pages of this thread.. what i gathered is i use this template from http://vcmweb.ning.com/page/how-to-join-vcm
send it to the address (i will just put it in the letterbox lol it will be quicker)
and then contact east malvern mc and to see about the fees and whatnot... and then what... can i rock up to the race and ride?

Roy I spoke to alan from the east malvern mc and he said to either send a cheque to him or turn up to the club meeting next Tuesday at 8pm at the cheltenham moorsbbin rsl. Vcm is a separate form you need to send in as we'll as your race form. $35 dollar if just renewing membership plus a joining fee if new member. Think ill head down there. Just a few old blokes having a beer talking about bikes.

Hey cheers Corey I live close to the guy from vcm I think his names Allan too ? I can go pay for that and fill out the entry form and send that off just need to choose a club are u saying east malvern is only 35$ ish?

Yep but there is a joining fee on top of that if you are a new member. His name is Alan as well. There is another for vcm. Confusing

Yeah mate that's right. There is 3 things you need to do.

1. Sign up to vcm. $30. This is so they can keep your points tally, trophies etc....

2. Then you need to become a member of an invited club. You can find these on the round 1 entry. I am a member of east malvern mc.

2. Then you need to pre enter for round 1. They do this as they need to purchase ma day licenses before the race so need to know exact numbers.

Hope this makes it easier to understand. A bit of work but its worth it!!!!

thanks mate that clears it all up heaps, so if i pre-enter for round 1 and then rock up at round 1 and become a member then i should be all clear?

Yeah but become a member before if you can. Also make sure you sign up for vcm(that's easy)

Nice explanation Corey. That should be a sticky,

Interstate Riders

Hey guys, just found out that anyone that wants to race from interstate can use any club membership they like. Doesn't have to be affiliated with VCM.

So if your already a member somewhere, your good to go. Will make it a bit cheaper for you guys.

VCM are more concerned with knowing how many one day licenses will be needed so they can purchase them from MV.

Cheers, Kosta.

we are from interstate do we have to be a memeber of a club or can we leave it blank

I would think you would need to be a member, going by what kosta has said.

i would imagine the host club would do one day memberships at a cost but thats up to the club's that run the day

as kosta said they mainly need to know numbers forma licenses and canteen catering

mind you the tend not to worry about me i just send in the entry and pay on the day saves me $6 on a money order:)

You really should be a member of a club.
Having said that, if it wasn't a problem last year...........it's up to you.

I just recieved this email from Allan from VCM regarding registration:

If they need a club membership on the day, either for the year or just the day, we can arrange that at the track.

The same goes for the membership to the VCM.

I still think it's better to have all this done before hand so you can rock up and just race.

Oh and Coolie screw the money order I just send cash no probs. ;)

I'm waiting on Bendigo MCC to get back to me with a rego number, reckon i should just send in the race form without the number?
