I know the feeling, working on bikes so much you sometimes loose the feel of riding and forget how much fun it is. Stick at it, take your time and one good days riding will make it all worth your while!!!!

My respect is with you though, you have rebuilt the engine more times already than I probably ever will.

Foun the problem, is the clutch been stuck on the shaft can't get it off

Fixed the basket not coming off problem, the claw spacer was squished causing it to jam the clutch to the shaft, put a new claw in and still seems to stay in gear. Can't work out why..

Pulled it apart again to try fix whatever the problem was

Finished it problem is gone but now has not alot of compression.
Going to do the valves tonight and hopefully it will start and can ride it

think it was gear selector or the shaft next to the clutch was stuck

did abit more work on it today, started first kick and power was all back to normal. washed it and put some degreaser on it to get rid of the oil and dirt

Wow man, you definitely aren't have a good run

How many hours are you getting between each major disaster, seems like less than a fortnight...

.... reckon it's time to cut your losses and go a new engine? maybe an anima?

288hrs before the last gearbox. 2 hours before this.
Other things have been like axels and rims.
Nah pass on the anima ill just get new valves and piston. Looks like the heads damaged tho. Dad is in Melbourne so he said he will pick up what ever I broke

Maybe I'm confusing a few of your bikes lol well if your getting that much out of a bottom end, stay with them then!!!

I did have awhile with gearboxes going regularly. That was a yx160 and was taking it to the shops..
Brought the v2 160ho and did the work myself no big problems
Swapped engine to 160ho only had 3-4 gearboxes break and 2 topend a replaced and 2 valves replaced.

9 weeks later finally got a small order I got.
Pull everything off it to put the new mud flaps on and miniriders plastics back on

Also put a new wheel on with the crap innova front tyre on. Does work well at the moment grip wise so far on my track over the worn out geomax mx51
