MV24's Motovert 125 build

has anyone tried running 160ho clutch plates in the gpx125 clutch?
or found a place where you can buy the whole clutch kit? dhz say its just a yx150-yx160 clutch but its got a completely different shaft and had 4 plates in it..

few months ago pull the exhaust apart to see if the packing is gone as its so loud but still looks pretty normal. also fixed the wobble in the shock. dont know how i used to ride it, even with a dud clutch its pretty lively

My boy is running a 160ho in the same size frame, its insanely touchy lol.

660mm, they arent a straight fit. had to lathe the top bearing seat bit down afair bit so you could have them sit properly

How do the gpx 125
Engines go? I have a yx160 i want to put in when i evantually
Find one for sale haha but donno if i should i hear the gpx 125

The gpx 125 is a great little screamer, but it doesnt have the torque of the bigger bore engines. A gpx125 will hang with the stock 150 and 160s, but if you add a tb head to the 160s the litle 125 gets left in the dust. It really comes down to what you prefer, torque off idle, or a big hit high in the rev range. If you want both then tb head and bbk your 160 and have more power than you need

Unfortunately no, I sold one 5 months ago with a gpx 125 in it for 650 so they are about.

starting over again.............

gpx leaking afair bit of oil out behind the sprocket and underneath the bashplate again so think i have to pull it apart. also try find the never ending clutch/kickstart issue

going to put 12/10 wheels on it and put the current wheels on the pitpro.
thinking of painting the frame but im not sure about that yet.
also got new bearings for the original swingarm that had a fracture in it. the current one has more damage and now looks pretty ugly so im swapping them over.

starting to get this back up and running, dumped the oil alot of shavings which is abit worrying

new clutch which is the correct one finally

still have a crack in the footpeg part of the frame and need to bend the other swingarm in place so the axel will line up properly i dont know why or how but it has some how widened and the axel is too short.

im hoping to get it running by tomorrow, wont be able to ride it but just get the engine going again.
