My opinion is yeah I run them on all my bikes and they all start first or at worst second kick, these plugs don't foul which is a huge plus and provide a better spark.

How do you get your bike to idle better when it's cold?, also what is a decent ignition coil?

use the choke on start up. if your talking about a cold day turn the idle screw up with usually a flathead screw driver.

there is so many threads of the questions you have asked on this forum and all over google and youtube.

thank you for making the thread instead of new threads every time.

takegawa hyper coil is good, stock is fine aswell. barely noticed a difference.
iridium spark plug will last alot longer and give stronger spark then a normal spark plug.

I'm working on a pitster pro x4r, also how do you use the choke properly to start the?, is it normal for the bike to bog down if you give it throttle with the choke closed and are you suppose to give throttle while starting the bike?

do what u have to to get it going mate! my bike dose not need throttle to start! but dont judge the way ure bike runs untill it is properly warmed up! how to use the choke?? pull it up. if that dosent work put it back down!

You shouldn't ever have to touch the idle speed screw regardless of engine temp once you get it tuned right. That's partly what the choke is for! if it's ever cold enough to warrant higher revs, use choke or half choke
Nor should you ever have to touch the throttle when starting a 4 stroke (unless you flood it, then hold throttle wide open and kick over a few times)

So... fiddle with the fuel screw and idle speed until you get it right. It should be a nice smooth idle when warm and still idle straight away when cold. If not, go slightly richer on the fuel screw. This is assuming that plug is good, valve clearances are good, carby is CLEAN and needle & pilot are appropriate clip position and size

I installed a new kick starter today, it's one of them heavy duty kickers you find on hondas ect, i was just wondering if it is normal for the kick starter to hit the peg mount when kicked over fully?

Actually the correct shape/style kickstarter is important imo. I changed mine from a bendy one to a straight one, bike now starts instantly every time. Due to more revolutions from the kick I guess.
Iridium plug, definitely.
98 octane fuel, a must. But keep it fresh, i usually put new stuff in each week, put the old stuff in the wifes car.

Mate, would love you to come riding at Frankston one day, ask all the questions you want at the track.

This is the kicker I got on my bike ATM, is it the style your talking about?

also I got a spare kick starter that was too big (15mm) how much could I get for it on the forum?

thats the same as mine mate, they work a treat, if your not racing then just run 95 octane fuel. I changed from the straight kick starter to the one above and found that one better, personal opinion I guess.

My kick starter keeps sliding off the shaft and the bolt is stripped, should i just weld it on the shaft?

Oh no no don't weld it on mate ! Is it the bolt thats stripped off the thread ?? or is it the kickstart thread thats wrecked ?? If the thread in the kickstart is gone an easy way is to drill out any old thread and stick a bolt right through out the other side and stick a nut on it .

If its just the bolt thread itself get a new bolt !

If you put a nut on it Just check and make sure the extra bulk of the nut on the end doesn't hit the casing or anything else

The problem was with the bottom of the kicker was hitting the clutch cover and sliding off the shaft, also what is the proper needle position for a 26mm mikuni on a stock 155z?

I always ran mine on the bottom notch

How is the kick starter sliding off? the bolt that goes through the kick starter and tightens up has a notch that it lines up with on the rod that comes out and if put on correctly shouldn't be able to slide off. Take a photo mate because it doesn't make sense to me even with it hitting the casing it would more like snap something than slide off if installed right.

That's the one, c-clip down the bottom is richer and clip up the top is leanest
