Since it's come up a few times, I've been riding for 25 years and only raced a couple of times more than 13-14 years ago. What could I put in a racer app? 2 maybe 3 dead last finishes and a dnf (had to leave in a ambulance) LOL

I'm 40 minutes from Pitster, go there and buy my bikes direct. I'm a PP parts Dealer but dont list any of the stuff for sale. I sat down and talked to Gary about it, we are internet only and trackside vending. We dont have a building yet but it's in the works. After I explained that to Gary he told me that he would not allow me to sell complete bikes and the reason was to protect his established Dealers. When I have a building and want to stock some bikes he said I'm good to go.

I've bought 4 bikes and countless parts and engines in the last year or so from him for our personal use and always had good experiences. The guys down there have been for the most part excellent to deal with. I've had a couple of issues and they were dealt with quickly. More than I can say for my 08 CBR1000R that burns a quart of oil every 500 miles since the day it was new but Honda says nothing is wrong.

I dont know what my point is other than Pitster protected it's Dealers in my case and I have been extremely happy with all of the bikes and parts I've bought from them. Thanks to the guys today for helping me on the Tech stuff too even though I didnt buy the parts from them.

Trackstar, Im confused...how can u call yourself a dealer, and then say PP won't sell to you as a dealer cause you have no building?

Sounds like what harley did to the little guys to me "not enuf showroom floor" as in square feet

I can get a PP bike cheaper if I call PP and buy a bike directly. then if I called a PP vender that's closer to me?

Factories try to expand business all the time through promotional discounts.

If Pitster wants to try and build the brand outside of a dealers area by supporting a racer with a huge reduction in price , it has the right to do so.

Pitster has even given Free bikes to people all over the country to promote the brand.

per our last email the order wasn't processed correctly with paypal and we never recieved the order and you wanted a refund, which was refunded via paypal last month. We have had the paypal issue corrected with the site and there are no more issues. I am more then happy to log into paypal and email you the copy of the payment sent. what is the difference, racer / rider, again, If Pitster wants the bikes in a non dealer territory, it can do so.

If people are riding Pitsters anywhere it creates intrest and more people will want them, promotion on the most basic level.

I believe Pitster has the right to do as they please, but why have a dealer network if your going to undercut the dealer? The dealer cant match the price youve given someone due to it being 100 bucks less then what they pay.

Matt statements like this is what keeps this going. I had decided that I was not going to get into it but this is BS and you know it. I personally spoke with Gary about this a few times over the last few years ask him. Just admit that at least is was a bad business decision and others might let it go if you continue to beat the drum people will answer

Your confused because you lack reading comprehension skills. Read the post again... I am a PP PARTS DEALER not a bike dealer. I dont put the parts up on my site because there are plenty of Internet Dealers around, my market is my local guys and the SM racers and they know I can get them what they need. My pitbike market is 2% of my business, our main customers are road racers.

Most manu's and Distributors anymore wont sell to guys without a shop or storefront. Thats the way it is these days, has nothing to do with what Harley did or Honda does about sq feet of showrroom.

I'm just reading this as someone rather new into minis...have always ridden big bikes.

I just don't understand the resolution here. So far Pitster said they were 'tricked' buy someone who wasn't even a real customer and then matified said they can 'sponsor' anyone they want. That all adds up to BS in my eyes anyway. The emails don't say anything about racing/sponsorship, just sounded like someone looking to flat out buy a bike.

In short, I think it would really help Pitster if they gave a real rebuttal and then that would make new customers and repeat customers alike more comfortable paying for their product. I guess at this point as a customer I am glad I looked elsewhere for bikes.

If any MOD wants there say just PM me or post it up and I'll quote it. They can't ban somebody for quoteing somebody that isn't allowed to view the site.

I just checked (as I'm a mod at PM) and I can't find any reason the MR mods can't view the thread/forum. Nothing in their profiles is out of the ordinary.

On the other hand, the 'pic the right image' capcha on this site's registration page fails to show images for me on 3 different browsers through 3 different connections... I eventually guessed correctly. : )

Also note, that were those users actually blocked/banned, quoting them so their posts show up would in fact be grounds for a ban, as it'd count as ban evasion.

I see blackwoodz is quite confused. I never asked for the best price on anything. I wanted to know if I could get a customized order on a roller. I assumed if I could get the custom order lxr roller from PP I could get the same from Terry being that he was a dealer at the time. I didn't want it cheaper I just wanted some of the pieces I wouldn't use taken off. See my first message to PP I'm not baiting or asking for a deal.
